Staffing a booth is fun and rewarding. It can be a very positive experience for you and your audience provided you plan ahead and are prepared for the rigors of the show floor. Remember, it can be physically demanding and you should plan on at least two people staffing at a time and preferably at a maximum of four-hour shifts.
Dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes.
Chairs are available, but you make the best impression when you stand and reach out to your audience.
Be alert and attentive to the visitors. They are the main focus and you should refrain from lengthy conversations with fellow staffers.
Try not to eat, drink or chew gum in the booth, plan lunch and break schedules so staff can get nourishment away from the booth.
Keep your literature and give-aways well stocked and be sure to get rid of trash and boxes
If you run out of materials or visitors request literature not on hand, inform them about ordering materials on-line or have a sign-up sheet available at the booth.
Record notes about your exhibiting experience. Indicate the things that worked well and the areas that need improvement. Review them when you plan for the next show
